Manchow Soup is a spicy, tangy Indo-Chinese soup loaded with vegetables and topped with crispy fried noodles. It’s one of the most loved soups in India, perfect as a starter or even a light meal.





🥕 Ingredients



  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 2 tbsp spring onions (white part)
  • ½ cup cabbage (finely chopped)
  • ¼ cup carrot (chopped)
  • ¼ cup capsicum
  • 2 tbsp beans (optional)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornflour (mixed with water)
  • 3 cups vegetable stock / water
  • Fried noodles for topping






🔥 Step-by-Step Recipe



  1. Heat oil in a pan or wok.
  2. Add garlic and ginger, sauté till fragrant.
  3. Add spring onions and all vegetables, stir-fry on high flame.
  4. Add soy sauce, chili sauce, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour vegetable stock and bring to a boil.
  6. Add cornflour slurry to thicken the soup.
  7. Cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly thick.
  8. Turn off heat and garnish with spring onion greens.
