🍮 Shir  Recipe – Festive Dessert Ready in 30 Minutes






Introduction 


Shir Khurma is a rich and creamy traditional dessert made during Eid al-Fitr. Loaded with milk, dates, vermicelli, and dry fruits, this royal dessert is full of flavor and tradition.
If you want to make a restaurant-style or festive special sweet at home, this recipe is perfect!



🛒 Ingredients

1 liter full cream milk
½ cup vermicelli (seviyan)
8–10 dates (chopped)
2 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
10–12 almonds (sliced)
10–12 cashews
1 tbsp raisins
1 tbsp ghee
3–4 cardamom pods
Few saffron strands (optional)




👨‍🍳 Instructions

Heat ghee in a pan and roast vermicelli until golden brown.
In the same pan, fry cashews, almonds, and raisins. 
Boil milk in a deep pan. 
Add roasted vermicelli and cook for 5–7 minutes.
Add chopped dates, sugar, and cardamom.
Cook until thick and creamy.
Add fried dry fruits and saffron.
Serve warm or chilled.

Use full cream milk for rich taste
Soak saffron in warm milk for better color
Add condensed milk for extra creaminess
Don’t overcook vermicelli
